Responding to a question from Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP), President Barack Obama says that legalizing and regulating cannabis and other drugs is “an entirely legitimate topic for debate” but that he remains opposed to legalization. The question is from MacKenzie Allen, a former deputy sheriff who did policing in Los Angeles, CA and King County (Seattle), WA.
This looks like yet another sign that the government is slowly starting to come round to a more logical point of view on prohibition.
